Technical References

On the product pages, the series and models are explained together with technical data, performance diagrams and dimensioned drawings. In order to interpret the technical data correctly, the following explanations may be useful.

Air flow Air flow in reference to the corresponding operating pressure.

Operating pressure Pressure range at which the diaphragm pump can operate continously. Special care is necessary, when the pump is operating over the stated working pressure or at dead head (zero airflow). Please enquire for special cases.
Maximim pressure

Possible maximum pressure with zero air flow (to be considered as a reference value only).

Open flow

Amount of air volume at open airflow (zero pressure).
Power consumption Input wattage that appears at the stated pressure. An exact curve about power consumption is availabe on request. Remark: The power consumption is at highest at open flow and at lowest at zero flow!

Duty cycle The pumps are designed for permanent operation basically. The operating conditions (pressure/vacuum, temperature, etc.) should lie within the given limits.

Life expectancy The working life depends on the operating conditions and the work environment, such as: duty cycle, operating pressure or vacuum, ambient temperature, air quality, ventilation, maintenance, etc.

Power supply All data given refer to an electricity supply of 230 VAC/ 50 Hz. Variations in the supply voltage up to +/- 10% are acceptable. All models also run with a frequency of 60 Hz, however with correspondingly varying performance.

Insulation class All models have the insulation class "E" (corresponds to a temperature limit of 120°C).

Protection degree Phoe-niX series = IPX4; SLL series = IP45; EL series = IP44

Ambient temperature The maximum ambient and suction temperature ranges from
-10 to +40ºC.

Overload protection The SLL, SV and EL-series are supplied with a thermal overload protection.  The contacts breaks when the temperature of the windings reaches hazard value of the probe at 130°C. After the coil is cooled down below 120°C, the blowers starts again automatically.

Protective switch (auto stopper) The EL series is supplied with a protection switch, in case of a diaphragm break. It consists of a micro switch, which turns off the blower. Due to the fact, the blower is protected against further deviations.

Fault alarm lamp The EL series may optional be provided with a fault alarm lamp. these air pumps will indicate any diaphragm fault of the linear motor with a signal lamp, placed on the outside cover of the air pump.

General remarks

The information presented on this webpage is based on technical data and test results of nominal units. Customer-specific modifications can lead to deviations. The measured values refer to the mentioned power supply and an ambient temperature of 15 to 25°C. The volume flows were measured with air. Subject to technical alterations.
